Always listening for a different bird call at Wallaby Gully, I tracked this one to a melaleuca on the edge of the dam, took a quick snap and couldn't identify it.
It looked to me like a juvenile Woodswallow but when I sent the photo to a real expert it turned out to be a Striped Honeyeater,...apparently not a common species around here.
This is the 119th bird species for our block here at the gully.
